- 10 cloves garlic
- Olive Oil
- 1 lb. Brie (cut white layer from top)
- 1 lg. Yellow Onion, sliced 1/4" thick
- 1/4 C. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 C. Brandy (apricot or light flavors can also be used)
Directions
Put garlic cloves in small saucepan and cover with oil. Cook on medium high heat until lightly browned. Strain garlic from oil.
Sauté onions slowly in medium sized pan with butter over medium heat until soft and browned on edges. Add brown sugar and brandy and mix well. Cook until sugar has dissolved.
Add garlic let stand to incorporate the flavors. Place brie in the oven to just soften. Pour the mixture over the brie. Serve.
