Ginger Snap Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. clove
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • granulated sugar
Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients.  Sift together next 6 ingredients and gradually stir into wet mixture.  Form into balls and roll in granulated sugar.  Place 2" apart on cookie sheet  and bake 8 minutes for chewy cookie, or 10 minutes for crispy cookie.

Makes 3-4 dozen.
