Cream 1/2 c. butter and sugar. Add eggs. Mix well. Add flour and salt. Stir in chocolate syrup. Bake in 9 x 13 inch greased pan at 350 F for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and then chill in refrigerator.
While brownies are chilling combine confectioners sugar, 1/3 c. butter and Crème De Menthe. Spread on brownies. Refrigerate until cool.
Melt together chocolate chips and 6 TB. Butter - spread over top. Refrigerate until serving time.
Milk and peppermint extract may be substituted for the Crème de Menthe. Then either use few drops of green food coloring, or few drops of red food coloring may be used for pink.
Cut into 1 inch pieces. Can be frozen.
