- 2 cups fresh chopped strawberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Mix strawberries, lemon juice, and 1/4 cup sugar in a mixing bowl. Set aside in fridge for 1 hour. Beat eggs with a hand mixer until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add 3/4 cups sugar, mixing 30 more seconds. Stir in milk and vanilla. Using a large spoon, blend in strawberry mixture. Gently stir in whipping cream until just incorporated. Pour into ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's instructions.
