Saucy Winter Casserole

Ingredients

  •  ½ lb. Bacon, diced
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 4 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Cup Karo (all-purpose syrup)
  • ¾ tsp. Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Paprika
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 bottle chili sauce (12 ounces )
  • 1 lb. Hot Dogs
  • 1 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 lb pasta

Directions

Fry the bacon and onion in a skillet and drain off the excess fat. Next stir in the Worcestshire sauce, karo syrup, salt, paprika, lemon juice, water and chili sauce. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Add the 1 lb Hot Dogs (frankfurters, which have been cut into bite sizes) Simmer about 8 minutes or until they are hot. Blend the 1 Tbsp Corn Starch with 2 Tbsp Water. Stir into sauce, and boil for 1 minute while stirring.

Cook 1 lb pasta according to directions on box. Serve on hot pasta. (medium shells are nice as the caught the sauce in them
