Broiled Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons butter 
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic 
  • 1 pound medium or large shrimp, peeled 
    Salt and pepper to taste 
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped basil
  • 1/4 fresh lemon   
Directions

In a broiler-proof skillet large enough to hold the shrimp in one layer, melt the butter with the garlic over medium-low heat until it starts to sizzle. 

Remove from heat. Preheat broiler to high. 

Place upper rack as close to broiler as possible. 

Add the shrimp to the pan. Season with salt, pepper parsley basil & lemon Juice. 

Stir to coat the shrimp with the melted butter. 

Broil just until pink on one side, then turn shrimp and broil the other side.

 Serve immediately, drizzling the garlic lemon butter over the shrimp. Serve over Rice or Pasta.
