Ingredients
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsps salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 6 cups milk
Directions
Brown sausage in frying pan.
Add margarine, when melted add flour and stir until smooth.
Stir in milk.
Cook mixture on medium high heat, stirring constantly until boiling.
Let boil one minute.
Let cool and refrigerate overnight.
Must be made ahead for best
flavor.
Heat and serve over warm biscuits or bread.
Great over scrambled eggs, home fries
as a sauce.
This recipe can be frozen for later use.
It makes almost two quarts and will serve 8-10 people.
